Meet the Team
Dr. Anastasia Novy
Dr. Anastasia Novy began her journey in animal health after graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2018. Since then, she has been fortunate to work with GPVS, where she has had the opportunity to provide veterinary services for a variety of commercial commodities, including layers, broilers, turkeys, broiler breeders, and alternative species.
Dr. Novy's focus is on diagnostics, management, and treatments, areas in which she continues to learn and strives to improve. She believes in working closely with her clients, sharing knowledge and insights to ensure their birds receive the best possible care. She considers it a privilege to contribute to a community passionate about animal health.
Although Dr. Novy values her time at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, family, friends, and pets.
Paula Court
Office Manager
Paula started work at the clinic in 2006 with Dr. Weber and she has been working with Dr. Novy since 2018. Paula manages the day-to-day business at the clinic and is ready to assist you. Paula loves spending time with her family and her four fur babies: two dogs & two cats.
Derek Soetemans
Technical Officer
Derek started working at the clinic in 2024. He created and manages the prescription software and helps out on farm and in the office. Derek enjoys playing sports and spending time with his family and pets.
Caroline Gillies
Poultry Technician
Caroline started working at the clinic in April 2025 after completing her MSc in Animal Nutrition at the University of Guelph. She assists Dr. Novy with day-to-day tasks at the clinic. Caroline enjoys spending time with friends and her dog.
